THE AFRICA LEGAL & TECH SUMMIT SET TO HOLD IN LAGOS NIGERIA – 19/09/19

The ALT Network continues to build the African legal and tech ecosystem. Our first Lagos summit is particularly timely as Nigeria’s FinTech sector was recently formerly recognised as the African leader in financial sector innovation. The role of law and lawyers in shaping enabling and progressive regulatory frameworks for techpreneurs and the opportunities tech innovation provides for the provision of legal services and access to justice, will be at the heart of the discussions on 19th September.

The summit will gather the most innovative minds from the Nigerian legal and technology sectors to discuss impactful topics that can help LegalTech businesses and the wider tech sector evolve into more robust going concerns. We hope for a future that comprises of strong innovators and disruptors.
Over 4000 lawyers are qualified to practice in Nigeria each year, and there is a need for gatherings like the ALT Nigeria Summit to hold discussions on Legal and tech trends and the best ways to equip the lawyer of the future with technological tools for better growth. It is equally important that lawyers engage with the new and fast-growing technologically driven sectors and industries and contribute to their success.

Speaking on the aim of this year’s summit in Lagos, the ALT Network’s Co-Founder Nankunda Katangaza said; “…I am looking forward to a lively and insightful day with our Nigerian members and the wider legal and tech community. The lineup of sessions, speakers and supporters will generate valuable thought leadership and business growth ideas that continue to promote progress and growth in the African legal services sector ".
