The Coronavirus is a human problem that continues to affect a large portion of the planet's people and businesses. This is a look at how this pandemic is impacting the legal service industry and some recommendations to improve the operational and business aspects.
As of today, economic activities have almost halted globally. This is due to the precautionary measures taken by countries to contain the viral outbreak. We earlier assessed the impact in 10 industries to show a clearer picture of how this outbreak is affecting the world of business.
It is important to have a plan of action prepared; even more crucial is the need to have planned for a period such as this. A few months before the global pandemic hit, we published the need for law firms to commoditise their services to easily sell certain services to the markets/clients that need them. 2020 signifies the start of the third decade of the 21st century and it is starting on a very serious note. I am talking “End-of days” and “Armageddon” themed happenings. Barely a month into the year and we were greeted with the Corona Virus outbreak around the world, which brought with it so much uncertainty that many governments and businesses had no option but to close up shop as a precaution. These are interesting times and it is inevitable that only those that adapt can survive the effects of this pandemic. Unfortunately, this applies to both human and business entities, as families are being separated by quarantine and many lives lost daily to the virus.

This is by no means saying that men should be neglected, we are trying to strike a balance between the number of female leaders in the tech space which will eventually lead to more creative decisions being made in tech ecosystems across the country. Mary Job of How Do You Tech facilitated the WordPress/ Digital Skills session and she is a prime example of the impact women can have using technology in their communities.
